Been away from the bloggersphere, so thought i'd come back with a fun spattering of rando!

The first two songs in this shmorgaspor(t) are electro-hip-hop products from the artist Chiddy Bang. I really like his samplings, and his rambles throughout the track aren't bad either! Kinda sounds like, i dunno, fun upbeat and chill all at the same time:

Switching it up now, the next track is very Tron-reminiscent. Really like the synth-work on this track, and the "dub-beat" tempo seriously screams "remix me!!!" so... that being said.... Filmrebelroby aka DJ Chocopan you better get on it!

Been a while!

The ladies missed you. Glad you're back!

Indeed, it has been quite a while. I've been undertaking quite a few projects as of late, so for the past few weeks or so i haven't had a couple hours dedicated to my computer. Hence, the lack of posting. SO that being blogged, i present the MASSIVE POST!

I've been inspired by the music played at the Gymnastics gym, as well as recent blog postings, to post more "danceable songs". This being said, a few of them still carry the "dub" nature that i am addicted to (and that you should be too.... psh).

The first set i deem more "chill/hipster" or "laidback" if you will.
Twin Shadow's remix of Oh Land's White Night stays true to their indie-rock style, but adds a more upbeat synth bassline, making it a unique, danceable track (if you wear skinny jeans, flannel, a barely-on beanie, and rock out with the lens-less wide-rimmed glasses).  Second is Miami Horror's remix of the Gorillaz' Empire Ants. Again, super indie vocals, but miami horror really brings out the synth on this one; giving the indie genre a mainstream club makeover. Also, i really love the syncopated hi-hats prevalent throughout the track (yay song production nerdyness!)

The last two tracks really delve into the "lounge sound" style.
Deadmau5 brings out the club sound on the MotM's (Mansion on the Moon) track Satellite. You could really find this track in any mainstream lounge in SF; full of the richer-yuppie-hipsters sipping their green vodka-tonics and nodding their heads up and down whilst lounging on the overstuffed leather couches lining the walls. I know you can imagine it too. Last in the "chill-set" is Robotberget's remix of Miike Snow's Silvia (a track that has been blowing up the bloggersphere for the past few months - original HERE). Goddamn this track is catchy - compared to the original, its almost like a brand new piece (kinda like the before and after shots of the contestants on the biggest loser). Just listen to the track, i know you'll agree with me. so sick!

Holy shit its been a while
